Newborn Baby Photographer Richmond – Beautiful Bebe

Newborn Baby Photographer Richmond - Beautiful Bebe

What a delight to photograph this little lady was! At just 10 days new to the world she slept so peacefully while her mum did some sewing beside us. I think she could seriously have a career in modelling too with her beautiful eyes and eyelashes. Newborns are best photographed between 4-10 days old, please contact me on kelly@tantrumphotography.com to discuss our newborn packages x

Meet Callum! A beautiful little boy I photographed last week, he was awake for a lot of the session so I got some lovely shots with his eyes open but he finally fell asleep... and we got some lovely sleepy photos too.

A day in the life of a water nymph

A day in the life of a water nymph

I often talk about how lucky we are to live here nestled between two of the of the most beautiful parks - Richmond and Bushy - but I have not been so convinced as this past weekend. All day glorious sunshine, blue skies, and what better way to beat the heat than to have a paddle in the stream. In the woodland enclosure a handful of children had striped down and were cooling off, it was so fun to watch them all gleefully bouncing around in such a pretty setting - it was almost magical! Just one more reason we have come back to this beautiful country! Oh yes and watching Murray win at Wimbledon was a nice topper too!

This lovely couple asked me to take photographs of them as they were expecting their third child. I was very lucky to then photograph them again one their new son arrived.

Portugal

Portugal

Here's a few photos from big family holiday to Portugal...

Richmond Park

Richmond Park

There are so many pretty places in and around Twickenham and a really great one is Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park. Its a great place for kids to run around and explore or take a picnic and sit by one of the small ponds, its the perfect way to spend the day and why not tie in with a family photoshoot!! I took some photos of my daughter Ella having fun there recently and I hope you'll agree it makes a beautiful photo location!

Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossoms

Every-where we go at the moment the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, its so beautiful and my daughter is thrilled by all the pink around us. I had the idea that it would be nice to dress Ella in her pretty pink dress and get some photos under the cherry blossoms. We are very lucky to live right between two of the most beautiful royal parks, on one side Richmond Park and on the other Bushy Park, and on a recent walk to feed the ducks I found the perfect location where there are quite a few cherry blossoms next to each other. We waited until the right time when it was warm enough and not too windy and when the perfect afternoon arrived and we siezed the moment - Ella loved it! Aside from placing her where I wanted her under the trees she did the rest herself, she danced and picked flowers and had a bit of fun pretending she was a fairy!

The home photo-shoot

The home photo-shoot

I LOVE using natural light when taking photographs. I have worked in a studio with big lights and fancy equipment and there are many benefits to it - the rain won't damper your plans, you can control shadows and create the exact lighting situation you want with some fantastic results, but in my humble opinion nothing beats soft, beautiful natural light, especially when your photographing families. As a natural light photographer one location opportunity for clients is their own home. Many of my clients request their photographs to be taken in their home because they want personal photographs that capture their family in their own environment, so that in years to come they can look back on them and view them more as 'professional snapshots' of their lives at that time... their child's favorite toy, how their bedrooms were decorated, the tree they used to climb in the garden etc One major advantage to having a photo-shoot in your home is that children are almost always much happier and calmer being in their own environment, and its possible to really capture their personalities. Here some images from one shoot carried out in the busy home of three gorgeous children two years ago!

Harry Millar

Harry Millar

As you will know if you have visited my blog or website recently my family moved back to the UK in September last year, I am currently on maternity leave after having my second child in October and am now starting to contemplate how and when I will start Tantrum here in the UK. There are many things to consider for me as the business will be very different to Dubai, not least because I won't be able to take advantage of the beautiful warm weather of the UAE. As I work things out I will be posting a series of photographs from shoots taken with clients over there. This exercise is, for me, really one of organisation - I need to conclude that chapter of Tantrum and make sure all client shoots are properly archived but I also want to share some of them with readers and prospective new clients here in the UK, so I will start with a few from a lovely little baby called Harry. As you will see we were able to take these photos outside, with nothing more than a nappy on him and he slept through the whole shoot! We were on hand with blankets in between shots, but the temperature was perfect for him - I somehow can't see this happening in the UK!
